Iberia again invites unions to start negotiation over Transformation Plan

After unions called off strike plans, Iberia is pushing to start as soon as possible the negotiations on its Transformation Plan, and has invited representatives of ground staff, cabin crews, and pilots to attend meetings on Thursday, 13th December.

Once again Iberia calls on the sense of responsibility of the unions so they negotiate the proposed plan aimed at contributing to the airline’s viability and ensuring its future. The airline hopes that henceforth the possibilities of a dialogue will be exhausted before drastic measures such as a strike are taken, since a strike call in itself inflicts serious damage on the company and its customers.

At the unions’ request Iberia faced them yesterday under the auspices of a mediation and arbitration service, but no agreement was reached, despite the fact that Iberia management indicated its willingness to be flexible with regard to the unions’ proposals.
