Iberia flights, back to normal

- Iberia and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum are gradually resuming their flights, once the Spanish airspace has reopened.

- A total of 601 flights will operate today

- Iberia staff has been reinforced by 30 per cent. Iberia wants to thank its clients for their patience and understanding regarding the call centres and client service desks congestion

- 4,000 Iberia customers have been accommodated in different hotels; they will be departing to their final destination as free seats are available

- Customers travelling today are requested to allow plenty of time to go to the airport, as airport congestion is expected

- Customers who could not get their luggage due to the airports closure can claim it at 902 341 342 (calling within Spain only). For those at airports outside Spain, please, address Iberia’s client service desk at the airport

- All flights programmed for today are operating normally. The only cancellations refer to long haul flights expected to arrive Madrid this morning; these were cancelled yesterday

- Customers who have decided not to fly can get a reimbursement of their flights at www.iberia.com/reembolsos or www.iberia.com/refunds/. Ticket changes with no penalty for those travelling from December 3 to December 6 can be made through Iberia’s call centre in Spain – 902 400 500 and 902 100 988 – or contacting Iberia’s call centres abroad (these can be checked at www.iberia.com Customer Relations.) Customers can also request the reimbursement of their tickets when they bought them through this channel. Iberia is being completely flexible about any ticket changes or reimbursements.

- Iberia thanks its clients for their understanding and patience during this conflict, caused by a third party. It expects to come back to normal as soon as possible. Iberia also wants to thank all its employees for their effort during these last days
