Madrid, 31 of March of 2011
Iberia has started the summer season 2011 with the opening of two routes. On March 28th, it launched its flight between Madrid and Los Angeles, with three flights a week. One day later, on Tuesday, March 29th, the first non-stop flight from Barcelona to Miami departed from El Prat airport. With this trasatlantic flight from the Catalonian city, to be followed by a non-stop flight from Barcelona to Sao Paulo in June, Iberia aims to make El Prat airport a major intercontinental hub.
