Iberia to Maintain Evelop Airlines Fleet

Iberia Maintenance is to maintain the two aircraft operated by the new Spanish carrier Evelop Airlines.

The renewable three-year contract covers “C” checks and maintenance of airframes, parts, and the CFM56-5B4/3 engines of Evelop’s Airbus A-320 and A-330, at Iberia’s Barcelona maintenance installations.

Evelop Airlines, a charter airline based in Palma, Majorca, was founded in 2013 when the Grupo Barceló acquired the assets of Orbest Airlines. It will used the aircraft mainly for holiday charters.

Iberia Maintenance is the Iberia division responsible for maintaining the Iberia fleet and those of some 100 outside clients around the world. It is Spain’s largest and the world’s 9th largest aircraft maintenance company in terms of revenues and staff.

Its ccustomers include Iberia Express, Vueling, Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, Onur Air, Tarom, Atlas Jet, Swiftair, Rwandair and the Garuda Indonesia Group.
