Icelandair Group: Traffic Data April 2014

The Company carried 176 thousand passengers on international flights in April. The number of passengers was up by 19% as compared to April last year. The capacity increase in available seat kilometers was 17%. The passenger load factor was 79.4%, increasing by 3.4 percentage points compared to the same month last year.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 22 thousand in April, which is 13% decrease from April last year. The capacity was decreased by 13%. The load factor was 68.7%, decreasing by 1.1 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 38% between years. Cargo transport increased by 8% year-on-year. The number of sold room nights at our Hotels was up by 3% from previous year. The room utilization was 69.2%, compared to 66.9% in April last year.
