Icelandair Group: Traffic Data January 2014

The number of passenger on international flights was 125 thousand in January and increased by 15% compared to January last year. The capacity increase was 15% in total and the passenger load factor was 70.5% increasing by 1.6 percentage points between years.

The number of passengers on regional and Greenland flights amounted to 20 thousand, decreasing by 5% compared to January last year. The capacity in January was 7% lower than in January last year. The passenger seat load factor was 68.2% compared to 66.1% in January 2012.Sold block hours in the capacity sector decreased by 8% in January. Freight increased by 7% year-on-year. The number of sold room nights at Icelandair Hotels was up by 10% from last year. The room utilization was 51.4%, 4.8 percentage points higher than in January 2013.
