Icelandair Group: Traffic Data July 2014

The Company carried 355 thousand passengers on international flights in July. The number of passengers was up by 16% as compared to July last year. The company has never before carried more passengers in a single month. It is also the first time that the company carries within a month a higher number of passengers then equates to the Icelandic population. The capacity increase totalled 19% between years. The passenger load factor was 85.9% compared to 86.1% at the same time last year.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were just over 32 thousand in July. The capacity was increased by 4% compared to July 2013. The load factor was 72.2%, decreasing by 1.5 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 26% between years. Cargo transport increased by 9% year-on-year. The number of sold room nights at our Hotels was unchanged compared to previous year. The room utilization was 89.1%, compared to 89.2% in July last year.
