Icelandair Group: Traffic Data June 2014

The Company carried around 309 thousand passengers on international flights in June. The number of passengers was up by 15% as compared to June last year. The capacity increase compared to June 2013 was 16%. The passenger load factor was 82.5% and improved by 0.4 percentage points between years. The Company cancelled 65 flights and had to reroute around 10 thousand passengers due to aircraft maintenance technician’s industrial actions in the month.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 27 thousand in June, which is a 3% decrease from June last year. The load factor was 69.1%, decreasing by 1.4 percentage points compared to June 2013. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 26% compared to June 2013. Cargo transport increased by 2% as compared to June last year. The number of available room nights at our hotels was up by 1% from previous year. The room utilization was 77.8%, 4.3 percentage points higher than in June 2013.
