The Company carried 172 thousand passengers on international flights in
October. The number of passengers was up by 18% as compared to October last
year. The capacity increase compared to October 2011 was 21%. The passenger
load factor was 80.6% compared to 81.4% last year. The number of passengers on
the Trans-Atlantic market increased the most or by 37%. The increase on the
tourist market to Iceland was 16%. The number of international passengers in
January – October was 1.77 million, already exceeding the 2011 full year record
of 1.75 million passengers.
Passengers on regional and Greenland flights were 29 thousand in October, which
was a 1% decrease from October last year. The load factor was 76.6%,
increasing by 9.3 percentage points compared to October 2011. Sold block hours
in charter flights decreased by 2% in October. The decrease is due to one less
aircraft being deployed in charter cargo flights than last year. Cargo
transport increased by 14% as compared to October last year. The number of
available room nights was up by 24% from previous year. The room utilization
was 67.6%, 4.3 percentage points higher than in October 2011.
