Icelandair Group: Traffic Data October 2014

The Company carried 213 thousand passengers on international flights in October. The number of passengers was up by 15% as compared to October last year. The capacity increase totalled 12% between years. The passenger load factor was 81.4% compared to 78.1% at the same time last year. The number of passengers on the Trans-Atlantic market increased the most or by 23.6%.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 24 thousand in October, which is 10% decrease from October last year. The capacity was decreased by 13% compared to October 2013. The load factor was 73.3%, increasing by 1.9 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 25% between years. Cargo transport increased by 3% year-on-year. The room utilization at our Hotels was 72.2%, compared to 61.9% in October last year.
