Icelandair reports Traffic Data for October 2013

The Company carried 185 thousand passengers on international flights in October. The number of passengers was up by 8% as compared to October last year. The capacity increase totalled 12% between years. The passenger load factor was 78.1% compared to 80.6% at the same time last year. The number of passengers on the Trans-Atlantic market increased the most or by 17.8%.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were over 26 thousand in October, which is 8% decrease from October last year. The capacity was decreased by 3% compared to October 2012. The load factor was 71.5%, decreasing by 5.2 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 11% between years. Cargo transport increased by 2% year-on-year. The room utilization at our Hotels was 61.9%, compared to 67.6% in October last year.
