Icelandair: Traffic Data July 2012

The Company carried 279 thousand passengers on international flights in July. The number of passengers was up by 10% as compared to July last year. The capacity increase compared to July 2011 was 11%. The passenger load factor was 85.3% as compared to 85.4% last year. The number of passengers on the Trans-Atlantic market increased by 13% compared to July in the previous year and the increase in number of tourists visiting Iceland was 10%.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 38 thousand in July, which was a 1% increase from July last year. The load factor was 69.6%, decreasing by 3.9 percentage points as compared to July 2011. Sold block hours in charter flights decreased by 11% in July. The decrease is due to one less aircraft being deployed in charter cargo flights than last year. Cargo transport increased by 7% as compared to July last year. The number of available hotel room nights at our hotels was up by 7% from previous year. The room utilization was 88.0%, 2.7 percentage points higher than in July 2011.
