ILFC WILL LEASE VIRGIN AUSTRALIA FIVE NEW BOEING 737-800s

LOS ANGELES – September 14, 2011 – International Lease Finance
Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International
Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), announced today it has completed an agreement
to purchase and leaseback five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Virgin
Australia.

ILFC Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Philip Scruggs
commented, “ILFC is proud to be working with Virgin Australia in
acquiring these five new aircraft which will support Virgin Australia’s
fleet upgrade. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft is known for its reliability,
fuel efficiency and flexibility over a variety of short and medium range
markets which will serve the airline well.”

The new aircraft which are targeted to be delivered in 2012 and 2013
will be purchased by ILFC and then leased to Virgin Australia. Virgin
Australia currently operates a fleet of 64 Boeing 737NG, 5 Boeing
777-300ER, 20 Embraer E-Jet and 2 Airbus A330 aircraft.
