Interjet plans 2019 IPO or stake sale to strategic investors

Mexico’s Interjet expects in 2019 to secure a strategic partnership with new investors or launch an IPO on the Mexican Stock Exchange in order to obtain capital for expansion, according to the airline’s President Miguel Aleman Magnani.

He also said the carrier will continue with its fleet renewal plan, and expects delivery of its 40 A320neos on order from 2019.

Interjet is also considering the Santa LucĂa Air Force Base (IATA: NLU) as a possibly hub for excess capacity as a result of the overcrowded Mexico City International Airport.
