IRKUT CORPORATION AND AEROFLOT COMPANY SIGNED A COOPERATION AGREEMENT ON MC-21 AIRCRAFT

On the first day of the Farnborough International Airshow – 2012, JSC IRKUT Corporation and JSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines signed a cooperation agreement on the MC-21 aircraft after-sales support system development. The purpose of the above system is to reduce operating costs and increase operating reliability of MC-21.

The multiple document envisages in particular: forming of operating requirements for MC-21; developing of after-sales support program to meet the best market practice; assist in the development of MC-21 planned maintenance; establishing warehouse within Moscow Hub sharing spare parts and consumable supplies; establishing regional MRO Center for MC-21 on the basis of Aeroflot MRO Center; forming aviation personnel training center for MC-21 on the basis of Aeroflot Training Center for Aviation Personnel; organizing the process of commissioning of the first MC-21 aircraft; revision of aircraft if required.
