Irkut presents the MC-21 programme at the FARNBOROUGH airshow 2014

At the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 IRKUT Corporation (a UAC company) together with Russian and foreign partners will present MC-21 program.

The display in a specialized pavilion reflects the transition of the program from the design to the production stage. Currently Irkutsk aviation plant – branch of JSC IRKUT Corporation, is manufacturing first MC-21 aircraft for flight testing.

New production facilities of AeroComposit and RT-Chemcomposite in Russia manufacture substructures of polymeric composite materials for the MC-21 program. One of them is demonstrated at the air show – the stringer panel of tail plane torsion box.

PD-14 and PW-1400G – the new generation of aircraft engines, developed for the MC-21 family, are under testing. The engines mockups are presented by United Engine Corporation and the Pratt & Whitney.

World’s best manufacturers of aircraft systems participate in the MC-21 program. Ratier-Figeac presents its innovative cockpit controls for the MC-21 aircraft. JSC NPO Hydromash will introduce the full-scale specimen of the nose landing gear. New lightweight blocks of passenger seats in economy and business classes will be presented by Zodiac.

PT-MS-21-300 flight simulator is demonstrated in the MC-21 pavilion. It was developed by Full Flight Simulator Research and Production Company (CKT Company, Ltd) and is used for testing of airborne equipment and for flight tests preparation. The simulator is the first element within the training facility, which is installed in the Center for training of aviation personnel of JSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines.
