JetBlue Airways Reports January 2014 Traffic

NEW YORK, NY — (Marketwired) — 02/11/14 — JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU) reported its preliminary traffic results for January 2014. Traffic in January decreased 0.1 percent from January 2013, on a capacity decrease of 1.4 percent.

Load factor for January 2014 was 82.8 percent, an increase of 1.1 points from January 2013. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 89.3 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 56.9 percent. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of January increased six percent year over year, which includes a negative impact of approximately one point from January 2014’s winter storms.
