JetBlue Airways Reports January Traffic

NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — JetBlue Airways Corporation [NASDAQ: JBLU] reported its preliminary traffic results for January 2013. Traffic in January increased 11.2 percent from January 2012, on a capacity increase of 9.9 percent.

Load factor for January 2013 was 81.7 percent, an increase of 1.0 point from January 2012. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 99.7 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 78.3 percent. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for the month of January was relatively flat year over year. For the month of February, PRASM is expected to be relatively flat year over year.
