Jetstar brings low fares international flying to Adelaide

Jetstar has announced its first international flights out of Adelaide will take off from 16 December with the introduction of a three times weekly service between Adelaide and Auckland*.

Jetstar Group Chief Commercial Officer David Koczkar said the launch delivers the first direct low fares flights between the two destinations.

“The customer response to our trans-Tasman flying has been strong over the past few years and we’re delighted to now introduce direct flights from Adelaide to Auckland,” Mr Koczkar said.

“We believe the introduction of low fares on this route will make Auckland a much more accessible and affordable destination for Adelaide travellers.

“Auckland features a world-class harbour precinct and is surrounded by a range of impressive natural attractions.

“This vibrant city has consistently proven to be one of the most popular New Zealand destinations in our network.”

Flights on the new route will operate every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The service will be operated by an Airbus A320 in a single class.

To celebrate Jetstar will be offering sale fares from $99 one-way** on Tuesday 3 September from 11:30am to 1:30pm (ACST), unless sold out prior.

Sale fares are valid for travel between 12 February 2014 and 2 April 2014 and 14 May 2014 to 25 June 2014. To book visit Jetstar.com.

Regular lead-in fares from Adelaide to Auckland start from $229** one-way and will be available for sale from this morning on Jetstar.com.
