Jordan Aviation is awarded a Jordanian AOC for regular operations.

Amman – Jordan Aviation Airlines was awarded an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) by the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) to start launching its international regular flights, thus becoming the first Jordanian privately owned airline to obtain such a license on the basis of the newly issued Jordanian Regulations which are now based on the EASA system in compliance with the European Standards. The new AOC gives Jordan Aviation the privilege to operate into 54 Arab and International destinations.

CARC Chief Commissioner & CEO Capt. Moh’d Quraan delivered the licenses to Jordan Aviation Chairman and CEO, Capt. Moh’d Al-Khashman in a small celebration attended by CARC and Company Top management in the afternoon of Wednesday March the 9th 2011 at CARC HQ.

Capt. Quraan said after granting the certificate that Jordan Aviation is one of the very successful airlines stressing on its role for strengthening the Jordanian Airtransport Industry sector. He expressed his support and that of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission to the company in performing its operation, stressing that CARC is working with transparency and clear references with the objective of advancing the Jordanian Airtransport Industry to reach to its counterpart at an International level.

Capt. Quraan reiterated that Jordan is entering into a new era in the Airtransport Industry after the agreement signed with the European Union to cope up with the international developments in this sector. He said that this requires doubling the efforts from the part of the local airline companies, stressing that reaching very high levels in the airtransport industry is difficult in itself let alone to keep maintaining those high standards and those high performance indicators while the world keeps on changing and evolving at high rates.

He called for maintaining the high standards of Aviation Security and Safety in compliance with the international standards. In this context he thanked Jordan Aviation represented by Capt. Khashman and company top Management as it obtained high progress in this regard. He thanked them for their understanding of international requirements and regulations which lead in turn, and qualified the company, to obtain the license to operate as a regular operator.

In his turn; the Chairman & CEO of Jordan Aviation Group Capt. Moh’d Al-Khashman thanked Capt. Quraan and offered his gratitude to him and to all those at the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission who spared no effort to assist the company reaching to this success. He thanked them for their assistance, advise and consultancy provided which have enabled the company to reach to the required international level. Al-Khashman said that the company which had started in the year 2000 and after so much efforts and hard work has now obtained the Air Operator’s Certificate as a regular operator as the first Jordanian company complying with these international standards and the articles of the agreement and the EU regulations. He said that obtaining this certificate is for the benefit of the company and the Jordanian industrial sector. He said that the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II and wise guidance have encouraged all employees of Jordan Aviation to continue working tirelessly to achieve success with high spirit and to take the Aviation industry in Jordan to reach to these high levels.

Capt. Khashman expressed his gratitude to the current Minister of Transport H.E. Muhannad Qudhah  and the former transport minister H.E. Mr. Alaa’ Bataineh, and Ministry staff and employees for their support and conveyed the gratitude of the strategic partners of the company «Intaj Jet» from Saudi Arabia who have been following with satisfaction the continued progress achieved by the company year after year as they are being re-assured on the success of their investments.

In response to a question about the areas that the company can fly to; Capt. Quraan said that «Jordan Aviation» is a fully qualified national air carrier with rights and obligations, and can operate to the countries with which Jordan has bilateral agreements for air transport which are around 54 stations around the world.  He added that the commission would address its counterparts in the Arab and foreign countries considering Jordan Aviation as a Jordanian national air carrier to operate to these countries as a regular operator. .

Jordan Aviation was founded in 1998 and began operating in the year 2000. Today Jordan Aviation owns 17 modern aircraft, of different sizes and capacities. It employs more than one thousand employees in various departments and disciplines.
