KfW IPEX-Bank: New ATR Aircraft for Nordic Aviation

KfW IPEX-Bank and Nordic Aviation Capital have closed the financing of a new ATR 72-600. The aircraft, delivered to a South American operator will be on an operational lease to the carrier. KfW IPEX-Bank acting as arranger and sole lender has provided the financing for the aircraft as part of a mandated ECA financing of USD 100 million. The transaction closed on 21. March 2014. It is one of the first 100 per cent Coface/Sace guaranteed financing for an ATR aircraft since the introduction of the extended cover last year .
