Korean Air continues its expansion in South and Central America with its enrollment in IATA’s (International Air Transport Assoc.) billing and settlement plan (BSP) in Ecuador. BSPs facilitate selling and reporting for IATA-accredited airlines and sales agents.
“There is enormous potential in South America from both passenger and cargo standpoints, and Korean Air is uniquely positioned to build on this. Korean Air is one of the world’s top cargo airlines and is the largest Asian airline in North America. It makes sense to lay our claim in South America as well,” says Korean Air’s John Jackson.
Korean Air currently has BSPs in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and Bolivia.
