Korean Air has enrolled in IATA’s (International Air Transport Assoc.) billing and settlement plan (BSP) for Colombia, South America, paving the way for sales in that country. BSPs facilitate selling and reporting for IATA-accredited airlines.
“There is enormous potential in South America from both passenger and cargo standpoints, and Korean Air is uniquely positioned to build on this,” says the airline’s Senior Vice President, J.K. Lee.
“Market conditions are robust and there’s a healthy growth in South America’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In addition, the emergence of a strong middle class and free trade agreements between South America and Korea, China and Japan offer immense opportunities for trade and commerce,” Lee said.
