Korean Air increases capacity in the Americas

Korean Air, America’s largest Asian airline, is increasing its flights from the Americas to Asia.

In February, the airline announced it will start service from Houston in May with a schedule of four flights per week. Because of the enthusiasm shown from the announcement, Korean Air will now launch its Houston service in May with daily flights to Seoul and beyond.

In addition, Korean Air is increasing capacity by serving the U.S. with the most A380 flights to Asia. The airline currently is offering double daily A380 flights from Los Angeles and will be flying double daily flights out of New York’s JFK starting in May. The airline also serves Atlanta with daily A380 flights. Meanwhile, the airline is increasing capacity to South America with Sao Paulo flights up from three to five per week.

Korean Air is very bullish on the Americas says John Jackson its Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Americas. “We have the most competitive service for the US business traveler to S.E. Asia. When you combine our schedule, service and price, we offer a strong value proposition and travelers are responding very well.”
