Kuwait Airways Chairperson and Managing Director – Mrs. Rasha Abdulaziz Al-Roumi has signed the agreement for purchasing 10 aircraft from Boeing consisting of B777–300ER long body. Al-Roumi affirmed that by signing the contract, Kuwait Airways has completed the development program of its fleet, where all its aircraft types were integrated with appropriate numbers. This would position Kuwait Airways in the rank that it deserves and enable it to enter competition as well as provide unique services alongside other leading airline companies.
Mrs. Rasha Al-Roumi explained that the signing of the agreement was a joyous occasion for the people of Kuwait and Kuwait Airways was reinstating the Blue Bird to its natural glory by rendering the best air-transport services to the people of the country and its customers with a modern fleet. Kuwait Airways was reflecting their confidence and pride, as well as renewing the pledge to H.H the Amir, H.H the Crown Prince, H.H the Prime Minister, H.E. the Minister of Communications, and the Government as the national company. KAC would be displaying distinct performance and services in addition to generating profit, and also assuming the role as an ambassador of Kuwait by carrying the country’s name and flag throughout the world.
Moreover, Kuwait Airways has signed the agreement during the present time when it has been receiving the new aircraft from Airbus, which was in fulfillment of renewing its fleet, and during the busy summer schedules of 2015. Through this, both the short and long body fleet, would replace the existing aircraft, and embody the title for safety, confidence and national responsibility. Furthermore, 2016 would witness the continuation of the phase in terms of bringing in the new Boeing aircraft B777-300 ER to the Company’s fleet.
