Kuwait Airways receives two Airbus A320 aircraft

Kuwait Airways started its fleet development program by receiving the initial two Airbus A320 Aircraft on 19th and 24th December 2014. The agreement with Airbus includes leasing 12 aircraft of which 5 are Airbus A330 while 7 aircraft are A320, in addition to purchasing another 25 aircraft all from Airbus, provided that delivery of the remaining leased aircraft will be made during 2015.

Speaking during the occasion, Kuwait Airways Chairperson and Managing Director – Mrs. Rasha Abdulaziz Al-Roumi affirmed that the agreement represents a qualitative shift in its history with the arrival of the new aircraft and would signify the anticipated development of the Blue Bird.

Meanwhile, the delivery ceremony of Al-Boom aircraft was held in Toulouse, France which was attended by H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in France, Kuwait Airways Chairperson and Managing Director – Mrs. Rasha Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Board of Directors and senior officials. Following this event, the Sanbouk Aircraft was received at Kuwait International Airport by Kuwait Airways Management and Executives.
