LOT’s promotion signed 777

Warsaw, 25 April 2013– Boeing 777 has been leased by LOT Polish Airlines to service Warsaw-Toronto flights. It the first time ever when this type of plane flies for the Polish national carrier, so LOT Polish Airlines offer a possibility to their passengers to buy tickets at a promotional price of PLN 1,777 for a return ticket for flights on Boeing 777!

Sales of tickets at this exceptional price started today through all channels, that is at lot.com, in ticketing agencies, through the Call Center and at travel agents’. The ticket prices start from PLN 1,777 and may be bought for flights on board of Boeing 777 between 4 May and 7 June.

The first flight of Boeing 777, referred to in airline jargon as „triple seven” was just scheduled for 4 May 2013. According to the schedule it will fly on the route to Toronto till the beginning of June.

The Polish national carrier decided to lease another wide-body aircraft since it is necessary to ensure smooth operations of all scheduled transatlantic flights. The lease of Boeing 777 guarantees that all scheduled flights will be made before Dreamliners return to operation in early June.

Boeing 777, registration number CS-TFM, has 30 seats in business class and 293 in economy class. Its first flight was made in 1998. Afterwards it flew for instance for Singapore Airlines.

It is assumed that LOT’s fights on this plane will be handled according to “wet-lease” principle with partial involvement of LOT’s cabin crew. The standard of board service will be the same as in airliners owned by the Polish national carrier.

The airliner has been leased from Euroatlantic, a Portugal operator. After a new Airbus 330 and Boeing 767, it is the third plane leased by LOT to service long-range flights, that guarantees continuity of flight operations until Dreamliners may make transatlantic flights in early June this year.
