Lufthansa Technik expands innovation engineering capability

Lufthansa Technik AG is expanding its innovation engineering
capability at its Hamburg base. This year the Innovation Business
Unit’s 55-person core team headed up by Andrew Muirhead will be
boosted by seven additional posts. Based on current through put, more
staff positions will be required in 2014 and 2015.

From the state-of-the-art cabin management system “nice HD” to the
award-winning “niceview” moving map system, the Innovation Business
Unit has proven its ability to develop, manufacture and integrate
quality products and systems. The latest developments include
lighting systems (“nicemood”), and a next generation seating
configuration. With a backlog of business through 2020 and beyond,
the Innovation Business Unit is poised to continue its impressive
growth.
