Lufthansa Technik provides global technical support for Asian customer

Business Aviation Asia Ltd.(BAA), an aircraft management company
specializing on the Greater China market with bases in mainland China
and Hong Kong, has become the launching customer for Lufthansa
Technik’s new global technical support package for VIP and executive
jet operators.

As a leading provider of technical services for commercial, VIP and
executive jets, Lufthansa Technik has developed a new product bundle
specifically designed for VIP and executive jet operators. At the
core of this package Lufthansa Technik offers access to its pool of
highly qualified engineers and mechanics, worldwide material support
through the company’s global logistics network and immediate support
in case of “Aircraft-On-Ground” (AOG) incidents and other
emergencies.

These basic services can be extended by a large number of additional
products from Lufthansa Technik’s general VIP maintenance and
operational services, like maintenance management services, CAMO
support or airworthiness reviews, cabin interior refurbishment,
government authority’s coordination, engine services, component MRO
services and cabin upgrades and refurbishments, just to name a few.

“Our customers will get a 24/7 global “free of charge”
trouble-shooting hotline support for up to ten man hours as an
“airside assistance” regardless where the aircraft operates", said
Walter Heerdt, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales of Lufthansa
Technik. “This means, that after a signature of a stand-by support
agreement, no further fees or charges will apply until the customer
requests our services at prior agreed prices and conditions. This
would add global Aircraft-On-Ground coverage on top of perhaps
existing MRO services contracted by the customer at his home-base.”

Engineering and troubleshooting questions will be handled by
Lufthansa Technik’s central Maintenance Control Center. On-call
assistance and technical support is guaranteed by Lufthansa Technik
over all Air Transport Association (ATA)-chapters.

The 24/7 AOG call center gives ad-hoc engineering consultation and
advises on the interpretation of technical documentation like manuals
or minimum equipment lists. Lufthansa Technik’s AOG support teams
offer worldwide on-site services, like daily & weekly inspections,
defect rectification, AOG rectification, engine inspections & changes
or station support.
