Lufthansa Technik’s Cyclean® Engine Wash continues its success story.
Up to date more than 40 airlines worldwide are using Cyclean®.
Recently the 40,000th Cyclean wash was performed at the service
station Osaka, Japan.
Cyclean® Engine Wash is now also available for the GP7200, GEnx-1B
and LF507 engine types, further increasing the product portfolio of
modern engine models from major manufacturers, like General Electric,
Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, CFMI and IAE.
Lufthansa Technik already offers the engine cleaning service at
stations in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The company is
currently developing plans to further increase its Cyclean® business
in the Middle East market, too.
Since 2012, Etihad, as the first customer in the Middle East region,
is already using Cyclean®. To utilize the system also for the GP7200
engines of the airline’s new Airbus A380, Lufthansa Technik has
developed an appropriate spray adapter. The system is based at
Etihad’s hub in Abu Dhabi.
Cyclean® is an unique engine cleaning system which can be carried out
directly at the gate in less than one hour. Very low time cost, large
fuel and emissions savings, and significant reduction in engine
maintenance costs make Cyclean® an indispensable service.
