Lufthansa Technik supplies components to Europe Airpost

Europe Airpost and Lufthansa Technik have signed an extensive Total Component Support TCS® contract. The agreement means that one of France’s largest airlines can now rely on the services of Lufthansa Technik, which will establish a home base at Charles de Gaulle Airport especially for this purpose.

The contract concerns component supply for Europe Airpost’s fleet of seventeen Boeing 737-300 aircraft. Fourteen of these planes are equipped with a Quick Change Kit, which enables a rapid conversion from cargo to passenger configuration.

In order to meet the customer’s time-critical material requirements, the new home base will be equipped with a broad inventory on site, including line replaceable units, wheels and brakes, as well as thrust reversers.

“I look forward to working with Lufthansa Technik as a reliable strategic partner of Europe Airpost, and to taking advantage of the company’s many years of experience with the Boeing 737 Classic,” noted Yves Groshenry, Technical Director of Europe Airpost.

Bernard Thévenet, Purchasing and Logistics Manager at Europe Airpost, added: “Our organization is preparing to mesh Europe Airpost’s maintenance and logistics processes closely with those of Lufthansa Technik.”

“With this contract, we’ve succeeded in convincing a strong player in the important French aviation market of the strength of our services, and we’re very proud of that,” said Wolfgang Weynell, Vice President Marketing & Sales at Lufthansa Technik. “We’re confident that our know-how can make a significant contribution to reliable operations at Europe Airpost.”
