Malev’s newest senior executive arrives from Wizz Air: Paul Coakley, Chief Technical Officer

Paul Coakley has been appointed to lead the management of the airline’s technical and maintenance section as Chief Technical Officer with effect from 24 January 2011. Earlier, the British professional was technical director at Wizz Air. The new senior executive has amassed considerable experience in the field of airline maintenance, repair and overhaul over the past 20 years. Prior to joining Malév, Paul Coakley worked at MyTravel Airways (a Thomas Cook affiliate company) as technical services engineer, and then later in the position of technical manager aircraft leasing. Following this he moved to Wizz Air, and then continued his career as technical director with the prominent aviation consultancy firm IASG Limited.
