Aerolíneas Argentinas President, Mariano Recalde, received today the CEO of Airbus factory, Fabrice Brégier, who made a visit to the Company headquarters according to protocol.
The Airbus Vice President for Latin America and The Caribbean area, Mr. Rafael Alonso, accompanied the French executive.
In this opportunity, Recalde and Brégier analyzed the details of the delivery of the first of four A-330/200 Airbuses which Aerolíneas acquired from the European factory and it will be incorporated on February of the next year.
The purchase of the four A-330/200 Airbuses determines the course established by the National State for Aerolíneas Argentinas development and capitalization.
The incorporation of the new planes shall represent an important savings in the costs due to fuel, taking into account that these aircrafts shall permit a reduction of them in approximately a 13.5% comparing with the consumption of fuel of the A-340/200 and of a 19.5% respect to the A-340/300, aircrafts that nowadays are part of the long- distance fleet of the Company.
The new planes will have a configuration of 24 seats cabin in Business Class and 248 seats in Economy Class, will have a “mood lighting” system for interior illumination and will have audio and video with individual screens in all the classes.
