Monarch Aircraft Engineering appoints new Head of Sales & Capacity Planning

Award winning independent aircraft maintenance provider Monarch Aircraft Engineering (MAEL) has appointed Lee Burgess as Head of Sales & Capacity Planning. Lee will be responsible for the acquisition and development of new business within Monarch Aircraft Engineering ensuring maximum utilisation of the company’s engineering facilities.

Lee joined Monarch Aircraft Engineering in 1988 and spent 18 years as a qualified Aircraft Engineer. He joined the management team in 2006 where he held a number of positions before moving into a senior management role as Head of Maintenance Control and Capacity Planning in 2008.

Within this new position, Lee will ensure that Monarch Aircraft Engineering leverages the full commercial benefit from their hangar and line maintenance operations. Focus will also be on driving sales for other areas of expertise within the business such as Part M Management Services, Part 21J Design Approval, MAEL’s Part 147 EASA approved training centre, and a Component Maintenance Centre.
