Monarch Passenger Numbers - August 2012

Leading scheduled leisure airline, Monarch, recorded exceptionally strong passenger numbers in August 2012 with more than 748,000 customers travelling to hotspots across Europe and the Mediterranean.

The scheduled leisure airline saw passenger numbers increase by 19% in August 2012 vs. August 2011. In comparison to the previous year, capacity increased by 16.5% as well as load factor improving by 1.7% points.

Commenting on the numbers, Monarch Airlines’ Managing Director, Kevin George said, “Achieving a load factor of 94.5%, well above the industry norm, is an excellent result for the airline.”
