Mott MacDonald’s director of aviation strategy Laurie Price will be speaking at the next Transport Statistics Users Group (TSUG)¹ seminar, which is to be held on 19 January 2011 in central London.
Laurie will be speaking on Air Travel Trends and Forecasts at the event together with Mike Carrivick of the Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BARUK) and Ian Macdougall of NATS².
Laurie said, “The air transport sector has suffered a series of adverse impacts over the past 12 months, from the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud and escalating fuel prices, to industrial action and snow. It will be interesting to debate with fellow transport specialists on what are the key issues the industry will face in the future, most particularly how it will cope with increasing demand by being better not bigger.”
Chairing the session will be Mott MacDonald divisional director Peter Norgate, who is also the non-executive chairman of the TSUG.
Peter Norgate said, ”Mott MacDonald has been involved with the TSUG since its inception, bringing professional excellence into transport statistics. With Laurie speaking at this event, along with Mike from BARUK and Ian from NATS, it shows that we continue to be at the heart of encouraging debate on key transport themes and the development of aviation policy.”
