Mott MacDonald’s director of aviation Chris Chalk will be speaking at the Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum on Aviation in the 21st century: prospects for growth and greater sustainability on 17 March 2011 in London, UK.
The seminar will consider the challenges for future growth and greater sustainability in the UK and international aviation industries. Sessions include assessing the tensions between aviation growth and carbon regulation and the potential impact of international measures governing aviation carbon emissions. Further sessions will also consider the position of the aviation consumer going forward and the overall future competitiveness of aviation alongside other modes of transport. Guests will include Rt Hon Theresa Villiers, Minister of State for Transport, Department for Transport and Colin Matthews, Chief Executive Officer, BAA.
Chris Chalk will be speaking jointly with Andrew Haines CEO of the Civil Aviation Authority about growth prospects for the aviation industry in the UK and worldwide, the ways in which demand for aviation services is set to change in the future and how the aviation industry is performing in the drive to greater sustainability.
