MTU Maintenance Hannover to repair CFM56-7B engines for Biman

Starting immediately, Biman, the national flag carrier of Bangladesh, will have its CFM56-7s repaired and overhauled by MTU Maintenance Hannover. The five-year, exclusive contract covers the engines powering two Boeing 737-800s currently in service with the airline and two aircraft of the same type it has on firm order. Should Biman decide to add more 737NG to its fleet in the future, the contract provides for the propulsion systems of these jets to be included in the agreement as well.

Biman has been an MTU customer since 2005, initially sending only CF6-50 en-gines to the Hannover facility for shop visits.
