MTU Maintenance Hannover has won NordStar as a new customer. The shop will be maintaining the CFM56-7B engines powering the Russian airline’s five Boeing 737 aircraft. The deal makes NordStar the German MRO provider’s first CFM56 customer from Russia. The time-and-material contract will run for a period of five years. NordStar operates domestic scheduled services linking Moscow Domodedovo with Norilsk Adler/Sochi, Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg. International charter flights are also operated from Moscow.
