New allocation of duties specified for Austrian Executive Board

The Executive Board team of Austrian Airlines is to be increased to three members as of 1 April 2011. The Supervisory Board decided upon the new allocation of duties in the Executive Board at its session today. The Chairman of the Austrian Airlines Supervisory Board Stefan H.Lauer: “The enlargement of the Executive Board with Thierry Antinori as new CEO and the new allocation of duties in the Executive Board means an important strengthening of Austrian Airlines. This is a clear signal for a consistent focusing on customer, market and competition.”

The portfolio of Thierry Antinori – the Chairman of the Executive Board/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – takes in Traffic Policy & Alliances, Corporate Communications, Revision, Controlling, the new function of ‘Business Development, Strategy, Group’, and the Cabin, Product & Marketing Division. He will also be taking over the Chair of the Supervisory Board of Tyrolean.

As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Andreas Bierwirth will remain responsible, as previously, for the essential commercial divisions of Distribution and Network Management, as well as for IT, Purchasing, Finance & Accounting, Aircraft Asset Management & Treasury.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Peter Malanik will remain responsible, as previously, for the essential operating divisions of Flight Operations, Ground Services, Technical Services and Hub Operations, Quality Management & Corporate Security, as well as for Human Resources and Legal Affairs.
