As of 31 December 2014, Alexey Tyupanov was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of EXIAR, the Russian Export Credit Agency.
Alexey Tyupanov succeeds Peter Fradkov, who held the post since EXIAR’s creation in 2011. Mr Fradkov has taken the position of First Deputy Chairman of State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”, where he will continue to oversee the Russian export support system through his new position.
Mr Tyupanov has been with EXIAR since its creation in various posts and in the past year served as Member of the Board – Managing Director of Business Development and Underwriting at the Agency.
Before joining EXIAR, Mr Tyupanov held different positions, amongst others as Head of Debt Finance Division at Vnesheconombank, Director of Debt Capital Markets & Financial Institutions at Eurocommerce and Head of Funding & Investor Relations at Bank of Moscow. He holds a BSc degree in mechanics and mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, further to an MBA from State University of Management.
