New destinations in Southeast Europe: airberlin flies from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia for the first time

Starting today, airberlin is taking off from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia. From now on, the airline will fly to the capitals of Romania and Bulgaria once a day and hence, continues the expansion of its Eastern European route network from the Berlin hub.

“We are delighted to have opened the routes from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia today. With the new flights from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia, we are offering flight guests nine destinations in Central and Eastern Europe from Berlin. Travellers who we welcome in Berlin from Bucharest and Sofia can access our international route network through our hub,” said Mohammed Nasr, airberlin’s Area Manager for Eastern Europe.

In addition to Bucharest and Sofia, the airberlin nonstop destinations in Central and Eastern Europe from Berlin include the cities Gdansk, Krakow, Kaliningrad, Moscow, 
St. Petersburg and Budapest. From 23 March, Warsaw will be included as well. Feeder flights are available from many cities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and from European and worldwide destinations in the airberlin route network.
