CARLSBAD, CA – Diane Smith, a veteran of airline customer relations, has been appointed Vice President of Customer Experience for California Pacific Airlines.
Smith comes to CPAir from Galileo Processing, where she was Vice President of Customer Experience. She was a founding director of Jet Blue, serving 10 years with that airline, heading up the customer service center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Earlier, she was a customer service leader for three years at Morris Air, and later, five years at Southwest Airlines as customer service manager.
CPAir currently is in the process of FAA certification as a scheduled airline. CPAir will fly Embraer 170 aircraft to five western cities from Carlsbad’s McClellan-Palomar Airport. Non-stop flight operations to San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Phoenix are anticipated to begin in the spring of 2012.
