New Member of the Board of LOT Polish Airlines

The Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines passed a motion to appoint Mr Tomasz Balcerzak to the role of Member of the Managing Board in charge of Operations of LOT Polish Airlines effective 13 June 2011.

Mr Balcerzak has rich experience in the airline industry and in carrying out projects in the field of company operations.

He completed his studies at the Polish Air Force Academy in Dêblin, graduating with the title of Lieutenant Pilot Engineer. He furthered his education with additional studies at institutions including the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw School of Economics. His professional experience includes work in the 36th Special Air Transport Regiment in Warsaw, at Centralwings airlines, and also at the firm FDS-Flight Dispatch Services. Since 2009 Mr Balcerzak has worked as the Operations Director at Enter Air charter airline.

Mr Balcerzak worked at LOT Polish Airlines from March 2001 to October 2004 coordinating a series of projects in the operational technical fields, as well as supervising restructuring programmes.

The new LOT Polish Airlines board member speaks three foreign languages and his interests besides aviation include air transport economics, business, and international relations.
