New shareholder assure future growth of China Aircraft Leasing as an independent aircraft leasing company

China Aircraft Leasing Company Limited (CALC), the Hong Kong based aircraft leasing company is pleased to announce that, on June 30, 2011, China Everbright Aerospace Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Everbright Limited completed the acquisition of two tranches of shares of China Aircraft Leasing Holdings Limited totaling 40% of its capital. CALC is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Aircraft Leasing Holdings Limited. CALC is also in the process of bringing in another China state owned enterprise as shareholder. This is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.

The new shareholder will ensure further growth and success of the independent aircraft lessor, which has already embarked on an aggressive growth strategy to increase its fleet significantly in the next few years. CALC has a target of building a portfolio of 100 aircrafts within 3 years.. Currently it has a portfolio of 12 aircrafts.
