NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH signs an agreement with Turkish Technic for five Airbus A320 Base Maintenance and Paint Services.

NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH (based in Vienna/Austria) and Turkish Technic have signed a contract providing base maintenance & paint services for five Airbus A320 Aircraft. The newly signed contract is the first business agreement between the parties. The services will be carried out at Turkish Technic Istanbul Facilities between October 2011 and December 2012.

Turkish Technic General Manager Dr.Ismail Demir said “Thanking NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH for choosing Turkish Technic to provide base maintenance & paint services and appreciate greatly the trust that NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH has placed in us by signing this contract. Turkish Technic, an association of Turkish Airlines group companies (Istanbul Stock Exchange: THYAO), provides MRO services for Boeing and Airbus airframes, engines, auxiliary power units, landing gear and components. The company serves more than 100 airlines in Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Turkey and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with its maintenance bases in Istanbul & Ankara and highly qualified workforce of more than 3,000 personnel.

NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH is a scheduled airline and employs 650 people. NIKI Luftfahrt’s Airbus and Embraer fleet comprises four Airbus A321s (212 seats), ten Airbus A320s (180 seats), and seven Embraer E190s (112 seats). The list of destinations has been growing steadily ever since the company’s foundation in November 2003.
