NOKSCOOT GIVEN THE GREENLIGHT FOR TAKE OFF

BANGKOK, Thailand (June 19, 2014)—Nok Air is proud to announce that the joint venture between Nok Air Public Company Limited and Singapore’s Scoot Pte. Ltd. to establish the new low-cost airline NokScoot has been approved at the Board of Directors meeting today. The new airline based at Don Mueang International Airport, will operate widebody aircraft on medium and long-haul international routes. Nok Air and Scoot will hold not more than 49 percent each, and a company established by the management of the company will hold not more than 2 percent.

Ltd. is a significant step in expanding routes to international destinations. This has always been Nok Air’s goal and this is a good opportunity to expand our target market to overseas,” said Nok Air CEO, Patee Sarasin.
