Oman Brunei Investment Company SAOC has acquired one new Boeing 737–900ER aircraft and placed it on lease to Oman Air. The transaction represents a major development for Oman Brunei Investment Company in the aviation finance and aircraft leasing sector.
“The investment represents an opportunity to create an Omani aircraft leasing company through strategic business partnership with Oman Air and other regional and international airlines” said Abeer Mohammed Al Abduwani, CEO of Oman Brunei Investment Company.

The transaction is in line with the requirements of Oman’s In-country Value initiatives, which aims at adding value to Oman’s economy through participation of Omani entities such as pension funds, banks and other institutional investors at various levels of the value chain.
