Dublin & London, 8 August 2011: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of July 2011.
Aer Lingus’ total booked passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, in July 2011 were 1,105,000, an increase of 3.0% compared to July 2010. Aer Lingus short haul booked passengers in July 2011 were 931,000, a 1.1% increase on July 2010 while Aer Lingus long haul booked passengers in July 2011 were 96,000, a 3.0% decrease on July 2010. Aer Lingus Regional’s booked passenger numbers in July 2011 were 78,000, an increase of 47.2% compared to July 2010.
Aer Lingus’ booked load factor in July 2011 decreased by 1.1 points on July 2010 to 84.7%. Short haul booked load factor was 83.7%, a decrease of 0.3 points on July 2010, with capacity increasing by 2.6%. Long haul booked load factor was 86.8%, a decrease of 3.0 points on July 2010, with capacity decreasing by 0.5%.
