Pratt & Whitney to Provide PurePower® Engines on Air Mandalay Order for Six Mitsubishi Regional Jets

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW – Pratt & Whitney will provide exclusive power for six firm Mitsubishi Regional Jets (MRJ) for an order announced today by Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. (MITAC) and Air Mandalay. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2018. The agreement includes a comprehensive 12-year Pure Solution maintenance plan for Air Mandalay’s PW1200G engines. The PurePower Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engine family has more than 5,500 orders and commitments, including options. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
